If you need to change the date, please reach out to another post to swap dates. If you are unable to find a post to cover your date, contact me at least 10 days prior to your assigned date, so the patients are not let down.
Refreshments:  Some sort of finger foods like pizza, root beer floats veggies (no utensils), drinks (styrofoam cups - no plastic).  Volunteer needs to help serve food so patients are not touching food.
Prizes are up to you for the bingo games.  Some give $1 or more per game per winner, canteen books, etc.  Multiple cards can will win per game.  We don't want to limit them due to not responding as quickly as a fellow patient.
Bingo:  Ward has bingo board and ball cage on a rolling cart.  Cards are in the basket on the cart.  Patients are allowed up to three cards.  Easy bingo games are best, just standard horizontal or vertical rows.   If the patients ask for it, you can do more complicated picture frame or black out games.  Remember our intent is to entertain not to work them up.  We are there to let them know someone cares about them and they are not forgotten.
Everyone first timer comes back moved by the experience.  It is a short time that means a great deal to the recipients of your kindness.

Again, if your P\post has a scheduling conflict, please notify the 2nd Vice Commander District 29 no later than 10 days prior to your assigned visit.

See the OCLegion.org “VA Visits/ Bingo” webpage for details.
